Anti-Slavery Day: Aspire take part in the 500 miles for freedom

18 October 2018

On Saturday 20th October, members of the Aspire team are participating in a ‘500 miles for Freedom’ charity event at the Altered Images Gym, Bromsgrove. This is for ‘Hope at Home’, a Bromsgrove based charity assisting victims of modern slavery to restore their lives. Modern slavery and human trafficking are crimes that have unfortunately become more prevalent in recent years. Hope at Home are dedicated to helping people who have been victims of these crimes with the goal to lead them to a brighter future.

Andrew, Rhian, Malcolm, Justyna and Connor will be taking part by contributing to a 500-mile total in hopes that the money raised can help change victims’ lives.

Members of Aspire’s team of Tax and HR professionals are qualified in the University of Derby and Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority accredited Certificate in ‘Investigating Modern Slavery’. To avoid the reputational and financial risk of modern slavery taking place somewhere within your organisation or supply chain, take a look at our Modern Slavery Act compliance services page.
