22.08.13 OTS interim report is published

The Office for Tax Simplification (OTS) has recently published its “Review of employee benefits and expenses:  Interim report”.

The report summarises the issues raised and opinions obtained through interviews with employers, their advisers, representative bodies and HM Revenue and Customs.

OTS is now asking for feedback on two specific aspects of the report;
•    “Big picture” issues and;
•    “Quick win” solutions
which needs to be submitted by mid-September.

OTS plan to discuss the report content with Treasury Ministers over the summer and publish recommendations after that, for aimed completion by February 2014.
