Deadline for April furlough claims

07 May 2021

  • HMRC’s Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (‘CJRS’) guidance has been updated to confirm that claims for furlough days in April 2021 must be made by 14 May 2021.
  • For periods ending on or before 30 June 2021 employers can continue to claim 80% of an employee’s usual salary for hours not worked, up to a maximum of £2,500 per month.
  • From 1 July 2021, the level of grant will be reduced each month and employers will be asked to contribute towards the cost of any furloughed employees’ wages.

The full list of CJRS deadlines can be found here.
