The event staged on Tuesday 26th July was to launch REC’s AWR Advisor Toolkit. The kit is a set of support materials for REC members. The materials include legal briefings, training workshops, web-based seminars and an impact assessment checklist. In addition to these resources, model contracts will be available as of Friday 29th July.
Looking ahead at the future of AWR, Ed Davey - Minister for Employment Relations - said “There will be a formal review of the regulations and its impact in 2013.” Mr. Davey was keen to emphasise the need for a review in two years time, stating that BIS will be working closely with businesses to learn of the experiences and impacts caused by the AWR. Mr. Davey also said “we will see what extra things we could flex” pending the outcome of such a review.
