Nov 11 - Wayne's Shed

15 November 2011

In the current climate of austerity measures, football once again bucks the trend with the story that Wayne Rooney has engaged an architect to design him a garden shed.

Building magazine has reported that Cheshire firm Pulmann Associates Architects, more used to drawing up prestige shopping and residential projects, will now tackle the latest addition to the player’s £4m mansion.

Wayne’s shed, which is 7m by 4m, and 3.25m high, replaces a smaller existing shed that he is knocking down. The size of the structure meant the striker was obliged to seek planning permission. This was granted despite objections from neighbours, who claimed the shed was too large and too close to their homes.

Quite remarkable!
